1.1 Under Standing Order 17.22 Dawn Bowden AM was elected as Temporary Chair for first part of the meeting. Lynne Neagle AM chaired the meeting from item 8.
1.2 The Chair
welcomed the Committee. Hefin David AM sent his apologies for the
afternoon session. Alun David AM substituted.
2.1 The Committee heard evidence from HEFCW and Estyn.
3.2 The Committee heard evidence from
Universities Wales.
4.1 The Committee heard evidence from Colegau
Cymru.
5.1 The Committee heard evidence from NUS and UCU.
5.2 Under Standing Order 17.24A Hefin David AM
declared he is a Member of UCU.
6.1 The papers were noted.
7.1 The Motion was agreed.
8.1 The Committee considered the draft report.
Subject to minor amendments the report was agreed. The Committee
agreed to publish its report on 2 August.
9.1 The Committee agreed it’s approach
to scrutinising the Welsh Government draft budget.
10.1 The Committee agreed to write to relevant Ministers to request information.
